No, you can’t use QuickBooks Payments as a stand-alone payment solution. You can register to accept payments through QuickBooks once you have purchased any of the QuickBooks Online subscription options.

Q: Is there a long-term contract?

No. No long term contract is required to use QuickBooks Payments.

Q: Does QuickBooks offer recurring payments?

Yes, with a QuickBooks Payments account you can set-up recurring payments. If a customer pays you the same amount consistently, you can navigate to the sales receipts workflow and choose “Make Recurring” to set-up a recurring credit card payment. QuickBooks will take care of the on-going payment from here.

With QuickBooks Payments, you can securely email an invoice with a Pay now button. You can provide your customers with the option to pay by credit card, Apple Pay, or bank payment. It’s up to you. When your customer opens the online invoice, they can click “Pay now” and choose from the payment options you’ve selected. When your customer pays you, your books will auto-update and your money will be auto-deposited into your bank account.^*
